Art competition organized by the Colorado State Fair: Jason Allen wins with the printing of his painting Théâtre D’opéra Spatial. Nothing in particular to report, except that Jason Allen never picked up a brush and that the picture was “painted” by software powered by Artificial Intelligence.
Théâtre D’opéra Spatial is, in fact, a work of Midjourney, an artificial intelligence program that creates images from textual descriptions, operating very similar to the more famous Open AI’s DALL-E. And while Midjourney is still in a beta state, the result is truly admirable.
